Wall of Fame

David Walliams is coming to Sky1 to host Wall of Fame. And it's fair to say it's going to be unlike any topical entertainment panel show you've ever seen before.

So, what is it all about, I hear you ask?

Taking up the hot seat, David Walliams will preside over two teams of three in a celebrity panel show that tackles the latest stories to set tongues wagging – from the latest YouTube phenomenon through to celebrity tittle tattle - if the nation have been gossiping about it, the players will need to know all about it.

At the opening of each show, a giant wall featuring the 25 famous faces will be unveiled. As the focal point for the show this WALL OF FAME will spark off lines of questioning for a series of riotous rounds that will see will see panellists playing merry hell with the biggest stories of the week.

Anyone who’s anyone will be up on the wall and Walliams will hold court in a contest that finds out which team has their finger on the pulse of pop culture. He commented: “I’m looking forward to taking control of the Wall of Fame, my new weekly, newsy, quizzy, gossipy entertainment show. This may not be hard news but I shall nevertheless be taking my quiz master role most seriously…with lots of laughter.”

The tongue in cheek topical show is produced for Sky 1 HD by CPL Productions, producers of A League Of Their Own - the executive producers are Murray Boland, Danielle Lux and Jim Pullin with Chris Curley the series producer. The series was commissioned by Duncan Gray, Head of Entertainment for Sky.

David Walliams' Wall of Fame

Let's meet the panel...

David Walliams is used to putting up with troublesome comedy partners. So he'd better prepare for Jack Dee, Kate Garroway, Tamara Ecclestone and Andrew Maxwell.

They've all been confirmed as series regulars. Each week they'll be joined by two guests to complete their teams of three and the first show of the series sees N-Dubz singer Tulisa, in her first TV appearance since her appointment to The X Factor judging panel, and fresh from a nationwide tour highly acclaimed stand-up comedian Micky Flanagan.

The regular panellists and their guests will battle it out each week to see who will triumph in a contest to find out which team has their finger on the pulse of pop culture and current affairs in a series of riotous rounds centred around a wall of the 25 most talked about faces of that week.

Wall of Fame StudioKate Garraway and Andrew Maxwell pair up on one team. Kate, no stranger to discussing the latest celebrity gossip having interviewed some of the biggest names in showbusiness, commented: "In my day job I spend my life interviewing all the people who have made the headlines so I keep a keen eye on the news. David is going to be a great host and I am looking forward to joining my other panellists to talk about all the faces who have made the stories that week."

Fast paced, internationally renowned Irish comedian Andrew Maxwell will be bringing his quick witted A game to dissect each week's news headlines, he said: “As a news bug myself, I am really looking forward to sitting on a panel week in and week out with British comedy giants David and Jack and discussing all the week’s news and gossip. It’s a really exciting show and I’m delighted to be part of it”

The opposing team will be made up of model and television presenter Tamara Ecclestone and the nation’s favourite dead-pan comic Jack Dee. More used to being written about, in Wall of Fame Tamara and Jack will be turning the tables and commenting on who else has joined them in being the talk of the town that week.

So, join David Walliams every Friday night at 10pm on Sky1 and Sky1 HD.
