Whilst attending the premier of Run Fatboy Run in LA, David and
Matt have been on a well deserved break - Paul McKenna's girlfriend, Clare
Staples has revealed in her blog that David has been spending much of the
time with her and Paul at their home. The three of them had dinner together
with Simon Pegg.
Clare says: "We went to dinner this evening with the two funniest men in Los
Angeles today... Mr David Walliams and Mr Simon Pegg." "Because of the heat
they all ended up in the pool to cool down".

30/03/2008 - Why Little Britain fancy dress is so popular
Since the cult UK TV show has continued to grow so has the popularity of
consumers wanting to go to fancy dress parties as one of the main character.
All characters have their own individual personalities and therefore many
have their own identities which can look great at a fancy dress party and
make you stand out from the crowd. Source: pr-usa.net
29/03/2008 - David Walliams' swim seduction
David Walliams tried to impress Natalie Imbruglia by giving her a DVD of him
swimming the English Channel. David was so desperate to snare the Australian
singer - who recently split from husband Daniel Johns - he presented her
with a recording of his charity swim. He said: "I got a text from Natalie
Imbruglia the other day, asking if I had any footage of my swim to Africa
for 'Sport Relief'. I think she was teasing me though as I once gave her a
DVD of my English Channel swim to try and impress her!"

28/03/2008 - Walliams Joins Gambon in Pinter Play
According to
Baz Bamigboye writing in Friday’s Daily Mail, David Walliams will join
veteran actors Michael Gambon and David Bradley in a revival of Harold
Pinter’s No Man’s Land at the Gate Theatre in Dublin later this year.
Walliams, who will play the part of the servant Foster, has never appeared
in a straight play before so this is a huge step to play alongside such
experienced classical actors. But his being a fan of Pinter’s work should
only add to his enthusiasm.
Is this the start of even bigger things for David?

25/03/2008 - Laughs aplenty as David and Matt head for premiere
Surrounded by the funniest names in British comedy, it was perhaps
inevitable that Run, Fatboy, Run actress Thandie Newton would end up in fits
of giggles at
the LA premiere of the romantic comedy.
Leading the laughs were Matt Lucas and his colleague David Walliams, who has
a cameo as an awkward customer at the bakery run by Thandie's character.
Also tickling the beauty's funny bone was the movie's scriptwriter Simon
Pegg and former Friends actor David Schwimmer, who directed the tale of one
man's attempt to win back the woman he once jilted at the altar by running a
marathon.

interesting relationship.

Walliams' Gay-o-meter swings both ways
David knows how to confuse the gay-o-meter. He took a cosy trip to his local
hardware store with a young man on Saturday afternoon, which sent it
hurtling towards the pink. But a few hours later David went to T4 presenter
Steve Jones's birthday party with a young laydee sporting a spray-on catsuit.

16/03/2008 - Walliams burgled as he stars in Sport Relief
David Walliams had his home burgled - while he was appearing live on BBC's
Sports Relief. David knew nothing of the crime until he arrived home
yesterday morning. Police believe the criminals targeted Walliams knowing he
would be in the studio on Friday night to talk about his highly-publicised
charity swim across the Gibraltar Straits with rower James Cracknell.
It is similar to a recent crime wave against Liverpool FC players whose
homes were raided as they played.
Walliams, 36, called police to his London mansion, Supernova Heights - once
owned by Noel Gallagher - yesterday after spending the night at a friend's
house. It is not known yet what was stolen, but a police forensic officer
spent over five hours inside the house looking for evidence.
When Walliams emerged, looking thoroughly miserable, from the house in the
afternoon he would not speak about it. He then went shopping for keys. A
neighbour said: "David was clearly very angry, as you'd expect. There were
no obvious signs of a break-in and the house seems to be bristling with
security.
"It is clearly alarmed and there are grills over all of the windows so the
burglars must have known what they were doing to get in."
Walliams was forced to cancel an interview with Jonathan Ross on BBC Radio 2
yesterday after learning about the house-break.

James Cracknell Interview
In comparison to his previous epic journey in which he rowed across the
Atlantic with television presenter Ben Fogle, it was far less monotonous.
"At least with this I had views to look at," he said, "and there were some
Brits out there who came out into the streets to cheer us along. In the
Atlantic it was just like 'oh look, there's some water and more water and
more water'. In fact, in the whole of that crossing I think I saw maybe four

Caught on CCTV
David Walliams has been caught on CCTV at a lap-dance club. Just hours
before flying out for his epic charity swim across the Straits of Gibraltar,
David enjoyed a night out in the club's £300-an-hour VIP lounge.
But now the comic, who on Friday raised a fortune for Sport Relief from his
swim with Olympic rower James Cracknell, could find himself in seriously hot
water. For his naughty night at the club - which set him back £1,350
including champagne, £500 for the girl and a £50 TIP - was in flagrant
breach of strict "no touching" rules drawn up by police and the local
council, and could cost the management its licence.

05/03/2008 - Viva Tarifa!
Today's target is Tarifa, the starting point of the swim. James says
"We're still deciding whether the swim will be tomorrow or Friday. It
depends on the conditions and how I'm feeling. It may be safer for me to
have a rest day rather than plunge straight in. One thing's for sure, I'm on
the home straight now!" More info...
Update: Approx 6pm (GMT) and James has made it to Tarifa. The official
websites quotes James as saying in a text: We are here at Tarifa! Africa
comes next. 12 miles to go... But not yet. Weather gives us a day off
tomorrow and then the swim attempt could be on for Friday..."
"I'm going to be having a medical when I finish the cycle to check I'm in
good shape for the swim, which I will hopefully attempt on Friday dependent
on the weather. Tonight I will be having several media interviews, relaxing
and eating lots of food to provide me with energy for tomorrow... "
