Teletext: "What the heck? You aren't going to buy an ugly Ricky Gervais
drinking mug are you? "If you want to buy a wind-up Vicky Pollard doll, why
not?"

David is feeling a Walli in LA
David Walliams came down to earth with a bump when he found out he is less
popular outside Little Britain. The comic, 36, and TV sidekick Matt Lucas
were in LA buying a DVD box set of their BBC show when a shop assistant told
them she preferred Channel 4 comedy Peep Show. David told Virgin Radio: “I
took the box set to the counter and the woman asked, ‘Do you like British
humour?’ I said I did and she said, ‘I love Peep Show but not this one, it
is too much!’ “Matt was there too and I was about to go, ‘It’s us’. But I
thought better of it.”
