Obsessed fan admits stalking Walliams for four years

A few weeks back, we mentioned on this story and now it seems this has been taken to court - A female fan obsessed with David Walliams has admitted harassing the star in a four-year stalking campaign. Sarah Bartholomew, 29, caused the cross-dressing comedian "pain and distress" by bombarding him with erotic poems, emails and letters which initially the star ignored. Police decided to charge the former veterinary nurse two weeks ago after she began to make chilling threats to the star.
Crown Prosecution Service solicitor Julius Efemini told the court: "Miss Bartholomew first started writing to Mr Walliams in 2004.
"Miss Bartholomew has somehow become obsessed with Mr Walliams. She has repeatedly sent him a large number of emails of letters and poems. She turned up to his home address." Mr Efemini continued: 'These emails were overtly sexual and there were poems and emails. Towards the tail end of it it would seem the tone of these letters and emails changed. "She sent an email to Walliams' agent, Carl Hill saying, 'David knows what's coming to him.' She also said, 'A big mistake had been made.'"
The book 'Inside Little Britain', written by Walliams, co-star Lucas and Heat journalist Boyd Hilton, describes a 12-page poem by Bartholomew "written in various different colours of ink over a period of weeks". Source 1, Source 2, Source 3, Source 4.

15/04/2008 - "The Boy in the Dress"

David Walliams' debut outing as a children's novelist doesn't look like being a run-of-the mill affair.
David signed a two-book deal with HarperCollins last December, who promised his first offering would be a "a humorous, classic tale that features an engaging boy hero". David Walliams is in London, on the set of his new drama, Frankie Howerd: Rather You Than Me, an enthralling new BBC4 biopic about the late comic's long dark nights of the soul. Dressed in Howerd's fetching get-up from the Roman sitcom Up Pompeii – an off-white toga teamed with a natty pair of sandals – Walliams is standing by the monitor, deep in conversation with the producer. 03/04/2008 - French & Saunders Live

Ok, this has nothing to do with Little Britain, actually it does... it's a comedy sketch show! I have just seen and met Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders live for the first time and unfortunatly the last as this will be the last tour together - they were simply brilliant! If you are lucky enough to get your hands on a sold-out-show ticket, you are in for a treat. Not only did I meet them, I also bumped into Michael Praed (Robin Hood and most recently Casualty) and Simon Mccorkindale (also Casualty) in a car park struggling with the car parking payment! Anyway, back to related news...

02/04/2008 - Who is the snappiest of them all?

Simon Mills wonders how some of the men on GQ's Best Dressed List managed to qualify. Should someone as girly as David Walliams be considered for a men's magazine list? For a straight fella, Walliams talks fashion like a Brompton Cross lunching lady. And is he such a modern dandy anyway? He is often cited as the owner of, not one, but two black-tie get-ups. To which my response is: just the two dinner suits, love? How do you manage? Full story...

01/04/2008 - Walliams is 4th Best Dressed British Man
