There are some things you'll
never forget about your childhood.
Especially the times you've been rejected.
Little Britain star David Walliams has revealed he still has trouble letting
go about one such incident...
It was the time he was dissed by Jim'll Fix It.
He told the Daily Express: "In the early 80s, I wrote to Jimmy Savile
asking, 'Please fix it for me to meet Brian Blessed.'
"I thought it would be an easy one to fix, but it didn't happen."
Turns out, Brian wasn't even David's first choice...
He continued: "I thought that they probably couldn't get Harrison Ford, but
they could probably get Brian Blessed.
"It didn't happen - but I have subsequently met Brian, which was great."

C4, May 6th
'Perfect Night In' (with Matt and
David kicking off the show) will be on Sunday 6th May from 9pm - 11.10pm
on C4.
The following information is from Channel4sales.com: "In each episode the comedians reveal their finest viewing memories, from
comedies to dramas, documentaries and feature films. They will also choose
their favourite commercials as well as the strangest shows from overseas,
while also putting together their perfect TV schedule. They may also choose
to drop in a few choice clips of themselves, from their earlier, less-funny
days...
Matt Lucas and David Walliams lead off with the first show, revealing their
entertaining selection, which runs from a swimming pool death in Grange Hill
and a hissy-fit in The Young Ones, to Rod Hull and Emu, a famous Arsenal
goal and some hilarious out-takes from I'm Alan Partridge. Other
contributors to the debut show, including people from the clips themselves,
are Paul Daniels, Rolf Harris, Zammo from Grange Hill and even Gordon the
Gopher!"
28/4/2007 - Denise Van Outen
to Marry Walliams
Denise Van Outen is to marry
David Walliams next year.
The TV presenter - who was once engaged to Jamiroquai singer Jay Kay -
agreed to walk down the aisle with the 'Little Britain' comedian if they
were both still single in 2008.
She told Britain's Heat magazine: "We made a pact to marry if we're both
single and still looking for The One in 2008.
"I'm slightly nervous now because I said it ages ago and now it's getting
close.
"We shook on it, and where I come from, that means you have to go through
with it."
David - who has been romantically linked to Abi Titmuss and Patsy Kensit -
joked the marriage pact could end in tears.
He quipped: "I think when she said it she was pretty much hoping she'd be
wed in two years, so I may be pulling her down the aisle in tears."

David Walliams' sexual

snuggling up to Britain’s most beautiful babes.

Hazell, Natalie Imbruglia, Tina Barrett, Lisa Snowdon and, well, Dale
Winton...

for Keeley
David Walliams took Keeley
Hazell (voted second sexiest woman in the world in FHM poll) to a restaurant in
London’s posh Mayfair. She said: “He was absolutely charming.” We jokingly
set up our own gay-o-meter to keep up as Walliams swung between romancing
ladies and hanging out with gay pals. A date with Keeley definitely puts him
on the straight and narrow. Source: The Sun.

Mitchell and Webb consider
Lucas and Walliams Rivals?

ubiquitous Apple Mac ad campaigns: suddenly, the faintly old-fashioned, Fry
and Laurie-style comedy duo are everywhere.

David Walliams, rivals? Mitchell waves off any comparisons or competition,
saying, "I'm quite glad we haven't exploded the way Little Britain has."

2/4/2007 - Little Britain gets the blame
for classroom violence
The imitation of catchphrases from TV comedies
such as Little Britain and Catherine Tate has been linked to the growth of
bad behaviour in the classroom.
School pupils are now so saturated with images of violence, selfishness and
greed portrayed by soaps, reality TV and comedy shows that they have lost
touch with the difference between fantasy and reality according to the
Government's School Behaviour Task Force.
A new poll reveals that more and more children are using sayings such as 'am
I bovvered?' and 'computer says no' during lessons.

Fat Fighters more known than
some Brands
In a recent survey commissioned by leading
internet-based diet sinandslim.com, fictional diet FatFighters (featured in
cult BBC comedy Little Britain) was quoted as a better-known brand than some
of the leading diet plans on the market.
When asked to say which diet plans they had heard of, 6% of women questioned
spontaneously gave FatFighters as one of their answers, making the diet club
sketch, led by uncouth diet instructor Marjorie Dawes, better known than
real diet brands, such as the South Beach Diet.
