Vicky Pollard and Dawn FrenchLittle Britain Abroad

» The BBC first announced on July 18th 2006 that there would be two Christmas specials.

» Little Britain Abroad was split into two half-hour episodes taking all characters outside the UK.

» The episode was first shown on BBC1 on Christmas Day 2006 at 10.30pm (part one) and December 30 at 9.15pm showed part two of this award-winning comedy.

Peter Kay, Steve Coogan, Dawn French, Ronnie Corbett, Julia Davis and Paul McKenna all appeared in this special.

Fans were given a preview of the show at a recording in London on Sept 2 2006, where video sketches were also played.

'Vicar of Dibley' star, Dawn French, made a guest appearance as Vicky's mother. Walliams revealed: 'Her mother Shelley turns up, played by Dawn French, to try and get her out of trouble.'
